Zeger is an initiative by Philip Rulo and Johan van Vulpen, who met during a personal development program. They discovered they had both been nurturing the same dream for years: to build an environment where experienced professionals work for top-tier clients at a high level—while preserving their independence and joy at work. They realized they could make that dream a reality together, as their strengths complement each other in key areas.

Philip has gained extensive experience as a tax advisor and in-house tax manager. Since 2022, he has been running his own executive search firm, specializing in placing experienced professionals in permanent positions within tax and legal. He previously worked at reputable advisory firms and a leading single family office.
Philip has developed a strong passion for entrepreneurship and is energized by bringing people together and creating meaningful connections.
Johan has 28 years of experience as a tax advisor and entrepreneur. Over the course of his career, he has built an extensive network. He’s an out-of-the-box thinker, always focused on connection and creating value for clients and partners.
Johan is a builder—of businesses and long-term relationships. He is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and designing new business models, both within and beyond his own field. This passion is also reflected in his various advisory and supervisory roles.
